Michael David Booth , the YouTuber known as “Mr. Crafty Pants ,” has been arrested for allegedly sharing sexual photos of children online, according to Wave News. Police say Booth was taken into custody last week after investigators found him sending explicit images of minors through the messaging app Kik . Booth has nearly 600,000 subscribers on YouTube and is popular for his DIY craft videos. Authorities said some of the photos involved children under the age of 12.

According to the arrest report obtained by Wave News, Michael David Booth allegedly had at least six explicit images of children.
Out of those, three showed victims younger than 12 years old. Police say he shared the images more than 15 times at the beginning of August on Kik.
The investigation reportedly started after Kik flagged his account and linked it to his home’s IP address in Kentucky. Booth also has more than 250,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram , where he shares craft tutorials.
Investigators say Booth was known for posting custom design and DIY content, which made his arrest shocking to many of his viewers and online followers. His YouTube channel “Mr. Crafty Pants” has a large family audience, including young children who watched his craft-making videos.

Michael David Booth has been charged with possession and distribution of illegal material showing a sexual performance by a minor.
He appeared in court on Thursday for arraignment, and his bond has been set at $150,000. If he is able to pay the bond and get released, reports say Booth will be put on home detention and will not be allowed to use the internet until his next court hearing.
