NEW DELHI: For the second time in two days, Taliban foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi laid claim to the Afghanistan embassy despite absence of formal recognition of his regime by India. He addressed another press conference in the building, speaking on women’s rights in the country, among other things.
Unlike in the media interaction on Friday, women journalists were invited for the presser on Sunday, with Muttaqi saying the decision to not include women in the earlier event was unintentional and a “technical issue” as it had been organised at short notice.
