Raipur: Suvigya Dewangan from Bhilai scored 99.990837 percentile in the JEE (Main) and secured All India Rank (AIR) 194 in general category.

"According to the result sheet of the National Testing Agency (NTA), I scored the highest percentile to top the state," Suvigya told TOI. "It was my second appearance in the JEE (Main) after Jan. In the first attempt, I scored 99.977 percentile and I wanted to improve in the second attempt. The best out of two will be considered. I am now preparing for the JEE Advance scheduled in May," he said.

Suvigya, a student of DPS Risali, is awaiting his 12th CBSE Board examination results. "With my existing score in JEE (Main), I can take admission in a National Institute of Technology. But I want to perform better in JEE Advance which will pave the way for IITs. Presently, my only focus is on JEE Advance and the result of it will decide my future course of action," he said.

Meanwhile, state's Harshal Gupta topped in the JEE (Main) in the PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disability) sub-category. He scored 99.9619472 percentile.
