Mangaluru: At the 22nd quinquennial Uroos convention of Sayyid Mohammed Shareeful Madani Dargah in Ullal on Friday, chief minister Siddaramaiah emphasised the govt's dedication to upholding constitutional values and social justice. "We believe in social justice by giving opportunities to all. The govt is committed to working as per the aspirations of the Constitution," he said. He encouraged citizens to transcend religious and caste divisions, fostering harmony and treating each other as family.
The CM said, "We are all human beings. We should stay away from communalism and hate, and instead promote love, equality, and brotherhood. I believe in inclusive governance and taking everyone along."
The chief minister discussed the implementation of five guarantee schemes aimed at supporting the disadvantaged and ensuring socio-economic fairness. "To maintain peace and tranquillity, we must lead a secular life," he said.
Speaking about his leadership, Siddaramaiah noted, "Devaraj Urs served two terms as Karnataka CM. I will be the second to do so. This govt will complete two years on May 20 and Sankalpa samavesha is being planned."
Dargah committee president Haneef Haji, Indian Grand Mufti Sultanul Ulema and Ullal Qazi Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar, assembly speaker UT Khader, district minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda and haj minister Rahim Khan were present.
