My Life With The Walter Boys' Ashby Gentry has explained exactly why he is no longer "Team Alex" ahead of season two's release.
Back in December 2023, a love triangle that Netflix fans couldn't get enough of formed, between newcomer Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez), and brothers Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde).
In the very beginning, Jackie struck up a relationship with sweet Alex but as the series went on, it was clear that she had undeniable chemistry with Cole, leading to their passionate kiss in the finale.
Season two's trailer has already teased that, after leaving Silver Falls to head back to New York, Jackie will return to Colorado and be faced with both Alex and Cole.
This time around though, Alex star Ashby Gentry has made it clear that he is no longer rooting for his character to be with Jackie.

"I have to be Team Cole," Gentry confessed to Latin Times.
"There was no other choice this season for me."
The 26-year-old elaborated that his change of heart came because of the differences he saw in Alex this time around in comparison to the first outing.
He continued: "Alex is so sensitive and gets moody and mopey and lashes out.
"But then when he's happy, he's over the moon. He's jumping up and down, super affectionate.
"He is all over the place and it's hard to root for him."

This doesn't mean that things can't change once again though as it has already been confirmed that My Life With The Walter Boys will be making a comeback for a third season.
In fact, production on season three started earlier this month and is expected to conclude in December.
Gentry further teased: "I have a feeling that the Alex we know and love will come back in season three.
"I don't think it's entirely lost on me yet... But it's hard to choose between those boys."
My Life With The Walter Boys premieres on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.
