Emmerdale viewers could be forced to bid goodbye to another beloved villager after noticing major clues to another death. During Wednesday's episode (November 5), fans took to social media to issue a major prediction after one character announced they would be relocating and said farewell to their loved ones. The latest episode of the ITV soap saw ruthless drug dealer Ray Walters (played by Joe Absolom) make an appearance, offering April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) as her mule and instructing her to travel to Newcastle for a job.
He told the teenager: "I need someone up in Newcastle, I'm thinking it should be you. You'd be helping me out when you get your head straight." As she eventually agreed and lied to her family that she was planning to visit a mate, fans quickly took to X/Twitter to predict that this could lead to potential death. One anticipated: "This April storyline is like watching a wolf leading a lamb to the slaughter." As another shared: "Is that April off to Newcastle and never to be seen again?"
A third fan assumed: "They're gonna draaaag this Ape story till there's absolutely not even a teeny tiny bit of grissle left or even bone for that matter."
Alongside forcing her to sell drugs, another fan predicted: "Ray is definitely going to try and pimp April out in Newcastle, the nasty little nonce."
As a fifth fumed: "So a father is just letting his 16-year-old go off anywhere and with anyone, and her boyfriend is blindly believing her leaving when he knows she's being exploited as a drug mule?"
This comes after April told her dad, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock): "I'm going away for a bit ... Lucy from school, her sister is studying in Newcastle ... we're going to stay with her sister."
In a desperate attempt to convince her dad, the teenager added: "Lucy's sister loves it there and there's a course I might be interested in doing in the future."
To which, a chuffed Marlon responded: "Really? Wow, that's great. I mean, that's great that you're thinking about your future, obviously it is."
However, there could be "hell to pay" in a major twist to April's upcoming episodes as Ross Barton star Michael Parr hinted that the teenager's storyline could take a dark turn.
The actor revealed: "I think that is starting to be released in the scripts soon, so I don't know what's going on with it, but we've always had a connection.
Talking on Inside Soap's weekly , Parr continued: "I'm grateful just to be part of her storylines now. We get on like a house on fire as well. She's a very thoughtful young woman and it's been a joy to watch her grow up. She's still an amazing actress."
"But if Ross does get involved, it might not be pretty viewing. "I imagine when Ross does find out, there's going to be hell to pay, I love working with Joe and Jaye [Griffiths, who plays Celia] as well."
"I think if Ross is provoked and you hurt the wrong people around him, the old Ross is gonna come out."
