Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 release date, cast and trailer as eerie thriller returns

Nine Perfect Strangers is returning to Prime Video for a second outing as nine new strangers come together to undergo Masha Dmitrichenko's (Nicole Kidman) psychedelic therapy at Zauberwald in the Austrian Alps.

Over the course of a week, Masha takes the group to the brink. Will they make it? Will she?

The synopsis continues: "Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself."

When is Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 out?

The first two episodes will premiere on May 22 with new episodes launching weekly until the series finale on July 3.

Who is in the cast of Nine Perfect Strangers season 2?

The series introduces Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong and Aras Aydin.

Henry Golding is known for his role in Crazy Rich Asians, Lena Olin is a Swedish actress who starred in Alias. Annie Murphy is known for playing Alexis Rose in Schitt's Creek, with Christine Baranski known for Cybill.

Lucas Englander starred in Parlement, while King Princess is a singer and songwriter. Murray Bartlett became known for playing the luxury resort manager in the first season of The White Lotus, while Dolly de Leon is known for her theatre roles.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers is recognised as Rebekah Mikaelson/Eva Sinclair on The CW series The Originals, with Mark Strong known for Kingsman and Aras Aydin known for his leading roles in Turkish shows.

Is there a trailer for Nine Perfect Strangers season 2?

The trailer, released on April 29, shows the nine strangers arriving at the retreat, having all been selected under "bizarre circumstances".

Mark's character David asks Masha: "Did you bring me here for my money?" To which she replies: "I brought you here to heal, David."

She goes on to explain against a backdrop of eerie music: "I brought you all here because sometimes you shouldn't deal with pain gently."

Christine Baranski's character observes: "She's gonna bleach our brains, darling."

From the producers of Big Little Lies and The Perfect Couple, the trailer shows Masha offering the group one of her questionable elixirs.

After consuming the bizarre beverage, each member of the group is seen spiralling into a state of delirium.

An eerie moment shows the strangers being taken back to a "core memory" from their past, some of which appear to be rather disturbing.

The group are connected in ways they had not imagined and secrets come to light about how their paths have been woven together.
