Given Anderson's track record with acclaimed pictures such as Magnolia and Phantom Thread, it comes as little shock that this latest action thriller has captivated viewers entirely, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Critics on Rotten Tomatoes have awarded it an exceptional 98% rating, with numerous reviewers hailing DiCaprio's turn as his finest work to date.
If the film leaves you eager to revisit the Hollywood heavyweight's earlier work, here are four entertaining DiCaprio films currently available on Netflix.
Once Upon a Time.... in Hollywood
DiCaprio undoubtedly excels at collaborating with celebrated directors, as demonstrated in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Crafted by Quentin Tarantino, this period piece chronicles fading movie star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his stunt double as they witness the transformation of Hollywood during the 1960s.
The production sees The Titanic star sharing the screen with fellow A-lister Brad Pitt. Both actors garnered critical acclaim for their performances and secured Oscar nods in the Best Leading and Best Supporting Actor categories respectively.
Pitt ultimately bagged the Best Supporting Actor award. The star-studded drama also boasts a cast including Margot Robbie, Austin Butler, Al Pacino and Margaret Qualley, to name but a few.
The Wolf of Wall StreetThis Oscar contender was helmed by another visionary director, Martin Scorsese.
Based on a true story, it features DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort, a corrupt New York City stockbroker whose life spirals out of control.
The dark comedy impressively garnered five Oscar nominations, with DiCaprio getting a nod for Best Leading Actor and Scorsese earning a Best Director nomination.
Regrettably, The Wolf of Wall Street didn't clinch any Academy Awards. However, it remains one of DiCaprio's most acclaimed films to date.
Django Unchained
Tarantino and DiCaprio reunite in Django Unchained.
Penned and directed by the Pulp Fiction filmmaker, this Western epic casts DiCaprio in a supporting role. Jamie Foxx takes centre stage as the eponymous slave Django.
After being liberated by a German bounty hunter (portrayed by Christoph Waltz), Django embarks on a mission to rescue his wife from the clutches of brutal plantation owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio).
As expected from such a stellar cast and crew, Django Unchained received widespread acclaim, winning Oscar awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Waltz.
Don't Look Up
This 2021 comedy may not often be cited among DiCaprio's top films, but its star-studded cast is sure to draw in fresh viewers.
DiCaprio shares the screen with a host of big names including Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Timothée Chalamet.
The film was directed by Adam McKay, who also wrote the successful 2015 drama The Big Short.
The plot follows astronomy graduate Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) as they embark on a media tour to warn humanity about a comet speeding towards earth.
Despite the satirical drama earning Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture, among others, it ranks as one of DiCaprio's lowest-rated films.
Nevertheless, fans of the iconic actor can now stream it on Netflix and form their own views.
