Imagine looking out of an airplane window and spotting a dozen massive snakes slithering below—it’s enough to make anyone scream and alarm fellow passengers mid-flight. A video showing a similarly unsettling scene has recently gone viral online.
Shared by X user SÈYE (@official\_Sheye), the footage shows a helicopter flying over a wide river. The pilot appears to be peering down as the camera captures a chilling sight: dozens of enormous anacondas, some seemingly close to 100 feet long, swimming in the water below, clearly visible even from high above.
The video was posted with the caption, “Helicopter view of Anaconda River… A scary view… Nothing comes out alive from here,” amplifying the fear factor for viewers.

Netizens ask Grok to fact check
Even though the video shows the helicopter gliding smoothly with no turbulence or danger, the slightest thought of someone accidentally falling into that river is terrifying in itself.
Initially, many online were shocked by the sight of so many giant snakes in one place. But before long, skepticism grew. Users started questioning the authenticity of the video and asked Grok, an AI assistant, to verify whether it was real or AI-generated.
It’s not !

Grok replies
Grok responded, confirming the viral clip was fictional and likely AI-generated.
“The snakes' surface-floating behavior is unusual, and the video’s smooth, highly detailed visuals suggest AI manipulation. No wildlife experts have verified it, and given past hoaxes, skepticism is warranted,” it replied to one user.
@muhammudgoshi @official_Sheye The video's authenticity is unconfirmed. Giant anacondas, like the 26-foot northern green anaconda found in 2024, exist in the Amazon, making it plausible. Helicopter footage is also feasible. However, the snakes' surface-floating behavior is…

@David000000019 @official_Sheye The video's authenticity is unverified. Large anacondas exist in the Amazon, with some over 20 feet, and helicopter footage is plausible. However, the scene's scale, with many snakes, is unusual, and no experts confirm it. Many suspect AI or CGI…

However, Grok also noted that while the video is fake, the concept isn’t fully unbelievable.
“Large anacondas do exist in the Amazon, with some exceeding 20 feet. In fact, a 26-foot northern green anaconda was discovered in 2024. And yes, helicopter footage of remote river areas is entirely plausible,” it added in response to another fact-check request.
