Indian man spots gutka stains on London street. Internet adds a desi twist and calls it 'Londonpur'

London is known for its clean, picture-perfect streets, but one Indian man living there has been finding sights that remind him more of home than the postcards. In a recent video, he was left stunned when he came across gutka stains splattered on a London street. What was meant to be a casual walk quickly turned into a viral moment that had desis online laughing, cringing, and renaming the British capital “Londonpur.”

The clip, shared by Instagrammer @pandeyjipardesi, shows him zooming in on the red spit marks next to a parked car. Speaking in Hindi, he jokingly asks if this is really London or something else entirely, adding that maybe the visa system should be stopped. To drive the point home, he added text on-screen that read: “London ya Kanpur.”

Internet reacts
The internet had a field day with his discovery. Many Indians joked that London now looked more like Kanpur than the UK capital, with some saying the city had been completely “desified.” Others playfully nicknamed it Londonpur and laughed at how oddly familiar the sight of gutka stains felt, even in the heart of Britain.


Garbage-strewn streets of London
Interestingly, this wasn’t his first viral take on the city’s not-so-glamorous side. Earlier, he had shared another video calling out how garbage piles littered London’s streets, joking that it looked like a garbage truck had overturned. He even remarked that the stench was unbearable and added that India often gets an unfair reputation for being dirty when cities abroad can look just as bad. However, netizens were quick to point out that it seemed to be the case after a party or special event, but the streets will be cleaned up quickly.
