Chelsea's final fixtures compared to Premier League rivals in new Champions League race twist

Chelsea have a week to recharge their batteries before they're back in action. After , Enzo Maresca's side will begin preparations for another important clash in the Premier League.

Everton have been revitalised by David Moyes, who's steered them away from the relegation zone. The Toffees are currently 17 points clear of the bottom three, so, with survival in the top flight all but wrapped up, they could lower their guard.

Djurgårdens (A) – UEFA Conference League – Thursday, May 8

Then, Chelsea will jet off to Sweden for the first leg of the UEFA Conference League semi-final. With a tough clash against Liverpool a few days later, Maresca could rest some of his heavy hitters.

Liverpool (H) – Premier League – Sunday, May 4

This will be a huge game in the wider context of the Premier League. Chelsea could make a great statement in the race for the Champions League qualification and show their European top-flight credentials.

Djurgårdens (H) – UEFA Conference League – Thursday, May 1

The Blues will host Djurgårdens at Stamford Bridge for the second leg of the UEFA Conference League semi-final. With qualification to the UEFA Champions League a priority, Maresca could rotate his side in preparation for a difficult match against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Newcastle United (A) – Premier League – Sunday, May 11

Another tough match for the Blues. Chelsea will have to be at their very best when they lock horns with Newcastle United at St. James' Park. It's an unforgiving place to go, especially with a place in the top five on the line.

Manchester United (H) – Premier League – Friday, May 16

Manchester United have struggled to impress this season, so Chelsea will be determined to pile on the misery. The Reds may not be the protagonists in the race for European football, but they'll be keen to play the antagonist.

What a game this looks to be. The winner takes all. If Nottingham Forest and Chelsea are both still in the race for Champions League qualification come the final day of the season then this will be huge.
